Refer deceased lineman’s case to Crime Branch: Association

JAMMU, Aug 5: All Jammu and Kashmir Electric Department Linemen and Workers Union has urged the Managing Director Power Development Corporation (PDD) Limited to refer the case of deceased lineman to Crime Branch Jammu.
The Association in a letter to MD PDD Limited demanded investigation into the death of on duty lineman Pawan Kumar posted at Division III (Sub Division Akhnoor) of JPDCL, who died yesterday due to fall from electric pole (HTC) while carrying out some works.
The Association further said that the concerned officials on duty are not taking the responsibility of the deceased lineman.
The Association has urged the MD to direct the concerned officer to investigate the circumstances leading to the death of the lineman or refer the case to Crime Branch Jammu so that factual position surface.
