Srinagar : A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) man was killed while another critically injured in a militant attack at a busy market place in Hazuribagh area of Srinagar today.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, Ashiq Bukhari said here that one of the CISF jawans was killed and another critically injured when militants fired at them from point blank range near Naaz Cinema in Hazuribagh area of Srinagar.
Militants fled from the spot leaving the two men in a pool of blood. One of them was declared brought dead in the hospital while another was shifted to SKIMS hospital for treatment.
Senior police officers rushed to the spot and police and CRPF carried out searches in the area.
