JAMMU, Aug 6: Reiterating the demand for a comprehensive transfer policy for them, All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association, Kashmir has urged the Government to issue necessary direction to all the departments of Kashmir Division to not to pressurize them for resuming their duties in prevailing situation in Kashmir valley.
These Jammu based employees from various departments rendering their services in Kashmir Division, also demanded release of their salary before Raksha Bandan as they have left the station under Article 21 – Right to Life.
“The Government knows that the target killings have not stopped in Kashmir till date as there was a similar incident only yesterday in the Valley,” they said while addressing a press conference, here today.
These employees are on continuous peaceful protest since 1st of June, 2022 after the target killing of Rajni Bala Teacher in Kashmir.
Welcoming Lt Governor Manoj Sinha’s decision of constituting a committee headed by Principal Secretary GAD to examine the long pending demand of transfer policy for reserved category employees, AJBRCE Association urged the constituent committee to prepare and handover the report fast track.
The Association demands that the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir should take cognizance and issue a general order on the issue of salary of the Jammu based employees which is being kept withheld by some DDO’s of different departments of Kashmir Division.
“Further, some departments have issued letters of unauthorized absent and pressurizing the employees to resume their duties, specially Director SKIMS Soura, Rural Development Department Kashmir, Revenue Department Kashmir, Health Services Department Kashmir, GMC Srinagar and its Associated Hospitals, GMC Anantnag, and Forest Department Kashmir,” they said and sought necessary instructions to all the departments of Kashmir Division to not to pressurize the Jammu based employees to resume their duties in prevailing situation in Kashmir valley.
The press conference was addressed and attended by Vipan Kumar, Ramesh Chander, Devinder Bangotra, Yash Bhagat, Jarnail Singh, Lalit Kumar, Naveen Bhagat, Rajesh Bhagat, Kuldeep Bhagat, Naresh Bhagat, Madhu Bala, Sanju Devi, Anuradha and others.
