SAMBA, Aug 6: Vijaypur Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 200 grams heroin from his possession.
As per official spokesman, on reliable information a team from Police Station Vijaypur led by SHO Inspector Rajeev Kumar under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Priyanka Kumari intercepted a sleeper bus bearing Registration Number JK02CX-5049.
During checking, a total of 200 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from the pocket of the helper of the bus.
The accused person identified as Alam, son of Rashid of Village Alle Chack District Gurdaspur, Punjab has been arrested on the spot.
A case under FIR Number 115/2022 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
