I am hopeful that we will save our marriage: Michael Douglas

LONDON, Sept 24:  Michael Douglas has been trying to work on his thirteen year marriage with wife Catherine Zeta Jones since the couple announced their temporary separation in August.

The 68-year-old actor opened up about his rocky romance with Zeta Jones at the recently concluded 65th Emmy Awards, reported Contactmusic.

“Catherine is great. She is doing wonderful, talked to her today (and) just got a lovely note from her. I’m very hopeful that we’re going to work things out. As I said we’re just taking a break, a couple of issues, sometimes you got to do that,” he said.

Douglas, who has two children Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10, with the Welsh beauty, picked up the gong for Best Lead Actor in “Behind The Candelabra” at the ceremony.

The father-of-three has not been pictured with Zeta Jones since they announced their separation in August. (PTI)
