RAJOURI, Aug 11: The relatives and residents of the area held protest against the hospital staff as a youth died in GMC Rajouri due to alleged negligence of staff.
Reports said one patient namely-Ankush Sharma (32), son of Kuldeep Raj Sharma, resident of Tattapani in Kalakote was admitted in GMC Rajouri on Wednesday night. His condition was serious no doctor and staff was available there to provide treatment.
He was in dire need of ventilator but there was no one to provide him ventilator resulting which he died at about 4:00 am.
Today the relatives, family members and people of the area led by senior BJP leader Dinesh Sharma held protest against the hospital administration demanding terminated of concerned lady doctor and Nursing staff in the ward.
DC Rajouri Vikas Kindal also reached the spot and people demanded that enquiry must be conducted. They demanded that enquiry be conducted by ACR Rajouri. The District Administration ordered enquiry into the matter. The DC assured fair enquiry into the matter. Later, the protest was suspended.
