JAMMU, Aug 14: At least 84 samples were lifted during special drive launched against edible oils by the FSSAI across J&K UT from August Ist to 14, 2022.
The samples lifted by the teams from office of Deputy Commissioner, Food Safety, Food & Drugs Administration in both the regions, have been sent to Designated Notified Lab for analysis under FSSAI.
The Food Safety regulators including enforcement staff in Jammu Division intensified the activities of surveillance and lifted surveillance samples of edible oils from different brands and categories.
During the drive, the teams of Enforcement and Food Safety officers and staff conducted inspections of different business outlets which reflected an output to improve the quality of edible oils. This drive will provide safe edible oil to the consumers and create a better environment in the business fraternity and finally the vision behind this drive is to quill the menace of adulteration
