Two thieves held with stolen items worth Rs 1 lakh

JAMMU, Sept 25: Jhajjar Kotli police today arrested two thieves and recovered large quantity of stolen items including mobile phones and chargers from their possession.
A police spokesman said that, during the investigation of case registered under FIR number 112/13 and under Section 457/380 RPC, Jhajjar Kotli police detained two suspects namely Shamsher Mohammad, son of Faqir Mohammad of Chapper, Domail, Jammu and Ghulam Rasool alias Chucha, son of Sher Mohammad of Dhammi, Domail.
During the course of interrogation, both the accused confessed their crime and on their disclosure stolen items worth Rs 1 lakh including 27 mobile phones and 20 chargers were recovered from their possession, he added.
Further investigation is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases, he said.
Police party led by SHO OP Chib made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Khalik Choudhary.
