JAMMU, Aug 19: Canal Road Police arrested two lady thieves and recovered stolen items from their possession.
As per police sources, today a written complaint was lodged at Police Post Canal Road by TP Singh Incharge JE Canal Road Jammu pertaining to theft of 15 high mast lights and a aluminium strip from the section store of DRDO Hospital Jammu.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 99/2022 under sections 34, 454 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Post Canal Road led by PSI Amreek Singh was constituted under the supervision of SHO Nowabad Inspector Vijay Sharma and DySP Headquarters Swati Sharma.
The team put in hectic efforts and finally arrested two ladies, who were found involved in the theft case.
The arrested ladies were identified as Sunita Devi, wife of Vijay Kumar and Kavita Devi, wife of Ricky Kumar, both residents of Rajiv Nagar, Narwal Bala, District Jammu.
On their disclosure, police team recovered the stolen items.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
