JAMMU, Aug 22: A workshop on “Data Collection and Submission of Quarterly Market Rates of Building Material and Wage Rates of Building Labourers through online application” (BRIKS-MIS) was organized by Directorate of Economics and Statistics here today.
The workshop on BRIKS-MIS was held under the guidance of Director General Economic and Statistics, J&K in collaboration with National Building Organisation, MoHUA, Govt of India.
Director General, E&S, J&K, Satvir Kour in her address welcomed the resource persons Basudeb Dass, Joint Director, NBO; M Ezhil Arasi, senior Technical Director, NIC, NBO and Santosh Sourabh, SSO NBO, Govt of India. She emphasized on the importance of workshop and also stressed the participants to take full benefit of the expertise of resource persons for compilation of Building Construction Index (BCI) at district/ UT level.
The workshop was devoted on the need of uploading/ submission of data through BRIKS-MIS in various modules, data base management, on-line introduction to BRIKS-MIS and training on data entry in BRIKS-MIS portal. A practical training and feedback session was also held for the participants.
The training was imparted by Joint Director NBO, Basudeb Dass , senior Technical Director NIC-NBO, M.Ezhil Arasu and SSO, NBO, Santosh Saourabh. It was attended by Regional Director, Kashmir/Jammu, Joint Director, Joint Director Surveys, DES, DSEOs of Jammu/Kashmir division along with concerned officers. Dy Director, Surveys presented the vote of thanks.
