Residents of Durganagar raise water issue

JAMMU, Aug 22: Residents of Durganagar (Roopnagar) and its adjoining areas raised the issue of potable water supply in the Ward numbers 1, 2 and 3 due to dysfunctional of Tubewell situated in Park of Sector-1 in Durganagar, here today.
The issue of potable water was raised during the meeting of various Wards of Durganagar which was held under the leadership of Sanjay Ganjoo, president Sector-1 and alleged that for the last one and half month, the residents of Durganagar are facing acute crises of the water but the authority concerned seems least bothered about it.
In the meeting, the issue of ration supply was also discussed and demanded that the pending ration from June to August will be distributed among the people as soon as possible.  They appealed to the Government to immediately repair the Tubwell, otherwise people will come to road and stage protests for maintaining regular water supply.
