JAMMU, Aug 23: The BJP Government headed by PM Narendra Modi at the Centre has ensured progress in J&K as people were getting all the facilities and services without any hassle or hardships.
This was stated by Yudhvir Sethi, Vice President J&K BJP while addressing a public meeting at Majheen area on the outskirts of Jammu today.
Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir said that the move of abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A has not only extended all the Constitutional rights to people of Jammu and Kashmir but also chartered a new era of development in the Union Territory. He said that the major boost has been given to industries, tourism, roads and railways, healthcare and also education.
Throwing light on the policies and programmes of Modi Government at the Centre, Sethi said that much has been done towards strengthening the society and for the welfare of common masses. “Tranquility in Kashmir is the testimony to the fact that people have started showing faith in the policies of Modi Government and are negating the separatist ideology and terror mongers, which has lead to peace in most parts of the Union Territory”, Sethi said, adding that government has successfully devastated terror edifice in the UT and peace will soon take over the turmoil and normalcy will be restored.
The senior BJP leader said that there are plenty of public welfare schemes launched by the BJP Government and the people should avail the maximum benefit from the same as these are non discriminatory and meant for one and all. He said that people should support the BJP in the forthcoming political contest to continue with the development spree in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir or else other parties may snarl the tempo of development undoing whatever the BJP government has done so far.
Later, Ajay Dev Singh and Gourav Singh, residents of village Majheen near Bawa Braham Dev Temple and Maa Durga Temple, along with their supporters joined the BJP and assured to strengthen the base of the party at their respective areas.
Prominent persons who were present in the meeting include Lal Singh, Bishan Singh, Sagar Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Omkar Singh, Subash Singh, Madan Lal, Nek Ram, Bushan Singh, Parshotam Singh, Suraj Kumar, Darshan Lal and Karan Singh.
