JAMMU, Aug 23: Senior BJP leader and former minister, Bali Bhagat has slammed some Jammu based political parties and their leaders for blindly following Gupkar Alliance politicians’ dictates on the issue of voting rights to non locals in J&K.
In a handout Bhagat said that Kashmir based politicians joined by some anti-Jammu elements have no justification at all in brow-beating the issue of non locals participating in upcoming Assembly elections in J&K.
Flaying the Gupkar Alliance leaders and some leaders from Jammu who joined the All Party Meeting (APM) at Dr. Farooq Abdullah’s residence in Srinagar, the BJP leader said that these so called leaders still continue to be day dreaming as if they are living in the pre-August 5, 2019 era.
“They need to come out of the slumber and realize that it has been three years since Articles 370 and 35A have been abrogated and as of today J&K is an integral part of the nation like any other territory and the law and rules which are applicable to all other States and UTs of the country are also applicable here.
