SUF condemns abduction of Sikh girl in Pak

JAMMU, Aug 24: An emergency meeting of various Sikh organizations of Jammu and Kashmir was held under the chairmanship of Sudarshan Singh Wazir, Chairman of Sikh United Front , J&K here today.
In the meeting, the participants showed great resentment over the abduction and conversion of a Sikh girl to Islam in Pakistan’s Khebar Pakhtunkhwa province. The girl who is teacher by profession, was forcefully converted to Islam after abduction. They alleged that the crime was committed in connivance with the DPO and SHO of Bunner district who tortured the girl and forced her to marry to a Riksha driver, the abductor of Sikh girl. The Administration is not providing justice to the family of the girl rather harassing the girl’s family.
Jammu Kashmir Sikh United Front has condemned the incident and appealed the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and Foreign Affairs Minister Jai Shanker to personally intervene and approach the Government of Pakistan for justice to the victim girl as well as her family.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included Darbinder Singh, Rajinder Singh, Raja Singh, Ravinder Singh, Mohinder Singh, Kulwant Singh, Gajan Singh, Kuldeep Kour and Gurmeet Kour.
