CBW for effective implementation of RAY commences at IMPA

SRINAGAR, Sept 27: Two-day State level Capacity Building Workshop (CBW) for effective implementation of Rajiv Awas Yojana (RAY) commenced today at IMPA, here.
While giving overview of the scheme, Managing Director, J&K Housing Board, Ram Pal Sharma, Nodal Officer for the State informed that the survey work of six cities out of seven identified locations including Srinagar, Anantnag, Leh, Jammu, Kathua and Udhampur has already been completed.
He said that pilot projects for Srinagar, Anantnag, Jammu and Kathua stands submitted to Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (MoHUPA) and survey work of Baramulla will be taken up shortly.
Sharma further informed that the action plan for Leh city stands sanctioned by MoHUPA.
He directed the staff associated with the project to adhere to the guidelines of the scheme strictly to ensure the effective implementation of the scheme.
General Manager (Projects), HUDCO, Usha Mahavir and Deputy General Manager (Projects), HSMI Surender Kumar stressed that schemes should be prepared in foolproof manner strictly as per guidelines to avoid delay in sanctioning of the schemes.
The workshop was attended by senior officers of J&K Housing Board, SDA, SMC and local body.
