JAMMU, Aug 28: The 20 patients who were operated at Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital in Udhampur yesterday were discharged today by Dr. Sukarma Singh and Dr. Sujay Herekar.
A handout stated that 85 patients were operated under Ayushman Bharat scheme and two other were operated free of cost as they were sponsored by D.N Sharma, Chairman of the Foundation.
Earlier a camp was organized at Lalli Dabbar on August 21, 2022 in which 285 patients were screened and out of these 48 surgeries were detected.
During screening, the patients were provided free medicines by Sham Lal Khajuria.
All these patients regained their vision after cataract surgery.
Speaking on the occasion D.N Sharma, Chairman and S.S Kerni, Finance Secretary of ‘The Udhampur Rotary Eye & General Welfare Foundation’ assured full support to the organization in future also for prevention of blindness so that poor people of the area may not lose their vision for lack of eye care facilities.
