POONCH, Aug 28: Surankote Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen items from his possession.
As per official sources, to work out a theft case registered under FIR Number 277/2022 under sections 457 and 380 IPC, a team from Police Station Surankote led by SI Mohammad Shafiq was constituted under the supervision of DySP Surankote Tanweer Jelani and SSP Poonch Rohit Baskotra.
The team put in hectic efforts and finally arrested the thief, who was identified as Siraj Khan, son of Rafiq Ahmed of Uttar Pradesh.
On his disclosure, stolen items including solar inverter battery, electric water pump motor, mobile phones and some Cash have been recovered.
Further questioning of the arrested thief is going on.
