Rajput Sabha demands holiday on birth anniversary of Maharaja

JAMMU, Aug 29: A general body meeting of Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha was held here today under the chairmanship of Jagdish Singh, Sabha vice president at Rajtilak Bhawan, Purani Mandi.
Speakers in the meeting strongly raised the demand of holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh—the last Hindu monarch of erstwhile J&K State.
They also reminded the government that it is a long pending demand of J&K people and is an issue close to the hearts and emotions of the citizens of J&K.
Sabha members urged upon the government to address the issue at the earliest.
Rangil Singh Jasrotia, senior vice president of Sabha; Mangleshwar Singh, general secretary; M.S Jamwal, Shamsher Singh Parihar, B.S Jamwal, Sukhdev Singh, Narinder Singh, Dr. Deepak, Varinder Singh, Baldev Singh and others were present in the meeting.
