JAMMU, Aug 29: Shilpkari Bazaar, a company based out of Channi Himmat Jammu was presented with the Best J & K Stall Award at the 8th Indian International MSME Startup Expo & Summit 2022, conducted by MSME Development Forum in collaboration with JKTPO.
Shilpkari Bazaar works on innovating, reviving and sustaining handicrafts and handlooms of Jammu region. Earlier Shilpkari Bazaar Jammu had bagged the prestigious “Kala Nidhi” award at the 35th Surajkund International Crafts Mela conducted at Faridabad 2022.
The “8th India International MSME Start-up Expo, Trade Fair kicked off on August 25, 2022 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The event, which was organized by the MSME Development Forum, continued till August 27, 2022.
Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha had inaugurated the summit. In the inaugural address he said that the MSME sector has changed significantly in the last eight years, and the new resilience, competitiveness and strength of MSMEs would make India the preferred place for manufacturing.
The event planned around five themes that were important for the development and growth of the MSME industry. This event was the best platform for SMEs, start-ups, trade industry and service providers to exhibit their products/services to find new business opportunities, markets, ideas, buyers, sellers, etc. Many Government bodies and organizations participated in the event. There were many stalls of MSMEs and other stakeholders from J&K, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh displaying their local products.
Over 40 entrepreneurs from J&K participated in the summit and had put up their stalls. Shilpkari Bazaar of Jammu was adjudged as Best Stalls for Jammu and Kashmir Divisions respectively and awarded trophies in the concluding ceremony on 27th August 2022.
