JAMMU Aug 29: Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) continued their chain hunger strike.
YRS activists who sat on hunger strike today were Rajan Singh Happy (President YRS), Surinder Singh Gilli (Ex-President), Balbir Singh, Partap Singh Jamwal, Shanker Singh Chib and Mohan Singh.
Addressing the media, Rajan Singh Happy President YRS lambasted that J&K administration made promise of declaring gazetted holiday on September 23 time to time but fail to keep them all times.
Surinder Singh Gilli said that the administration also made a committee on the issue also but no response came till date from the committee.
Congress leader Ex Minister Raman Bhalla, Ex Minister Yogesh Shawheny, Ex MLC Ravinder Sharma, AAP Leader and DDC T S Tony, Munish Shiv Sena, Vilakshan Singh JKNPP, Gulzar Choudhary Member Gujjar Bakarwal Coordination Committee, Social Activist Narmarta Sharma alongwith her team also joined YRS dharna and extended support to YRS demanding holiday on 23 September.
YRS activists also held protests at Katra, Toph Sherkhani, Udhampur, Talab Tillo, Kanjwani, Kathua, Samba, Akhnoor, Dogra Chowk, Paloura and Reasi demanding holiday on Maharaja Hari Singh birth anniversary.
Prominent YRS activists who were present were Mandeep Singh Senior Vice President YRS, Mukesh Singh Senior Vice President YRS, Vikram Singh General Secretary YRS, Sumit Singh, Sanjay Singh, Vishal Singh, Sandey and others.
