Shiv Sena demands Art 371 for J&K

JAMMU, Aug 29: Shiv Sena J&K unit here today staged a protest demonstration demanding Statehood to J&K with special status under Article 371 on the pattern of northeast.
The protest was led by Manish Sahni, Shiv Sena J&K president and the protesters raised slogans in support of their demands.
They displayed placards with message ‘Special Status Hamaara Adhikaar’ etc.
Addressing the protesters Sahni claimed conspiracies to harm Dogra, Kashmiri, Gujjar and Pahari culture of J&K.
“After grabbing resources and trade of J&K, land rights of the people here are being violated and step-motherly treatment continues with J&K people,” he maintained.
Sahni said Article 371 contains special provisions for 11 other States most of them northeastern and border.
Shiv Sena president women wing, Meenakshi Chhibber; general secretary, Vikas Bakshi; vice president, Balwant Singh; president Kamghar Wing, Raj Singh; president youth wing, Binny Mahajan and others were also present in the protest.
