47 bovines rescued, 6 smugglers held

RAJOURI, Aug 29: In a massive drive against bovine smuggling, Rajouri Police rescued 47 bovine animals and arrested six accused persons involved in the act.
Official sources said that during early hours on Monday, patrolling parties of Police Station Rajouri under the supervision of SHO, Fareed Ahmed during routine checking/ frisking at different locations intercepted different smugglers at Salani Bridge, Muradpur and Khandli bridge who were moving along with bovines on foot.
In this connection, cognizance has been taken up and cases under FIR Nos 458, 459, 460 /2022 U/S 188 IPC 11 PC Act got registered in Police Station Rajouri and further investigation was launched.
