UDHAMPUR, Aug 30: In continuation to the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), Archaeological Survey of India, Srinagar Circle today organised an awareness function at the historical Group of Temples, Krimchi, a Centrally protected Monument under the jurisdiction of ASI Srinagar Circle.
During the function, the National Flag was unfurled within the premises of the group of temples, Kiramchi. The Mast flag ceremony was held in continuation of the initiative of the Ministry of Culture to unfurl mast flags at different monuments across India as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM).
Archaeological Survey of India being a part of Ministry of Culture has already unfurled mast flags at Akhnoor Fort, Dist. Jammu and Ancient Palaces attributed to Raja Suchet Singh, Dist. Udhampur on 15th of August.
Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Krittika Jyotsna, presided the function as Chief Guest on the occasion.
The event was held under the supervision of Dr. I.A.Hashmi, Superintending Archaeologist, ASI Srinagar Circle assisted by G.A.Khan, Asst. Engineer, Rajesh Bakshi, Photo Officer, Jai Karan Singh, Sub Circle In charge S.K. Bhat and other staff members of the ASI Srinagar Circle.
