JAMMU, Aug 31: Senior BJP leader, former Chairman Social Justice Committee of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and Councillor of Ward number 12, Jeet Kumar Angral here today started construction work of new school building at Government Girls High School Canal Road under Smart City Project and the building will be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 1.15 crore.
Speaking on the occasion Jeet Angral said that under Smart City Project development of Jammu city has been started and proposal of construction of this new school building was there in the project.
He said that this project was launched by PM to provide citizens of India a better and wonderful city environment.
“I am very pleased to see the development being done under Smart City Project. Soon Jammu city will look like a metropolitan city,” the JMC Councillor maintained adding that the construction work started today was a long pending demand of the school administration as the strength of students was continuously increasing in the institute which necessitated a new building to be constructed to accommodate the increasing number of students.
He claimed that he along with other Ward members of the BJP are working hard to make the Ward a modern one in the city.
