KCR extends aid to kin of Galwan martyrs

HYDERABAD/PATNA, Aug 31: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday extend financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each in Patna, on behalf of the state government, to the kin of five soldiers who laid down their lives in the clash with Chinese army in Galwan valley two years ago.
Twenty Indian personnel, including a Colonel, were killed in violent clashes with Chinese troops on June 15, 2020 along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh.
He also extended financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each ex-gratia to the families of 12 workers from Bihar who died in the recent fire mishap Timber Depot in Hyderabad.
The Telangana Chief Minister distributed the cheques to families of Indian martyred soliders and workers in the presence of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and Ministers.
Earlier, Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi and Ministers accorded a warm welcome to KCR in Patna.
Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, former Assembly Speaker P Madhusudhana Chary, MLC and Rythu Bandhu Samithi President P Rajeshwar Reddy, TRS General Secretary Sravan Kumar Reddy, former Karimnagar Mayor Ravinder Singh and leaders of National Farmers Unions and others are part of Rao’s delegation.
Hoardings and billboards are also displayed to welcome the Chief Minister all across Patna airport to Bihar Chief Minister office.
Martyred Indian soldiers in Galwan clashes are Hawaldar Sunil, Kundan Kumar, Aman Kumar, Chandan Kumar and Jay Kishore.
After the conclusion of the programme, Nitish Kumar hosted lunch to the Telangana Chief Minister.
Speaking on the occasion, Rao said salutations to the families of the martyred soldiers who lost their lives in the Galwan valley and the families of the workers died in the Hyderabad fire mishap tragedy.
He said Heart is heavy for a long time to help the families of martyred soldiers who cannot be brought back. Came to this Holy land of Patna to help the martyred soldiers families.
KCR said a message of the whole country is stand by the families of the martyred soldiers should reach everyone. This will boost the self confidence of soldiers and Indian Military Forces.
The Chief Minister said Telangana is the youngest state heading fast on the path of development in India and added thousands of workers from Bihar are contributing in the development of Telangana state by working in many fields.
The Union Government, which claims to be an efficient government, ignored the request to run special trains during Corona. During Corona crisis, The TRS government considered the migrant workers from Bihar and other states in Telangana as their representatives and sharee their happiness and hardships.
Bihar is the holy land from where noted leader Jayaprakash Narayan was born. Every transformation taken place with the consciousness of Bihar people has led to peace in the country, he added. (UNI)
