JAMMU, Sept 28: A seminar on ‘Mouth & Neck Cancer’ was organized by ‘Cancer Care Centre’, Gandhi Nagar and ENT Association here today.
Dr Gagandeep Singh, Consultant Cancer Surgeon (Amritsar Surjit Multi Speciality and Cancer Hospital,) who formally remained Associate Consultant, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital, Delhi, Dharamshilla Cancer Hospital, Delhi and Oswal Cancer Hospital, Ludhiana addressed on the occasion.
Giving a brief description of the symptoms of Mouth and Neck Cancer, DR Gagandeep Singh said, “Change in voice, loosening of teeth, knot in neck, long time wounds which are not going to heal, all are the signs of mouth and neck cancer.
He further said that there is difference between Radical Surgery of Cancer and Surgery of common diseases.
Dr Singh also threw light on the types and techniques on Radical Surgery of face, neck, thyroid, voice-box, etc.
He concluded his address by advising the public not to consume tobacco, which he said, is the main cause of Cancer.
