Srinagar, Sept 3: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed all the Medical Colleges and deemed Universities across the country to implement NIC Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS), and Hospital Management System (HMS) and connect the CCTV feed to Command and Control Center at NMC.
In this regard, all the Medical Colleges and deemed Universities will have to install at least 25 CCTV cameras with 4k resolution able to cover several areas of the Medical College apart from ensuring Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance.
Meanwhile, the Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar has set the process in motion and asked all the faculty members to register on the NMC Attendance Portal, and the AEBAS biometric machines are expected to be installed at the GMC within a week.
As per the directives for the installation of the CCTV cameras which are to be adhered to during the process by all the MCs, the camera should be on if the compliant IP is ready and the MCs may use NVR for local storage and can send the feed to NMC CCC through MCs router provided by local internet service provider.
As per details and specifications which have been communicated with the concerned deans, in case MCs want to share feed directly to NMC CCC through local switch and Internet service provider router without local storage on NVR, then such cases Camera should be with minimum 3 days full storage.
Based on the service availability, the guidelines state that the performance and reliability, Colleges may use existing bandwidth (MPLS or ILL) and for any future bandwidth requirement, NMC will inform the colleges. “The Colleges do not have to purchase any analytics software.”
For procurement of CCTV cameras and other infrastructure, NMC said that they may choose their approved procurement rule/channel.
