Raj Nehru bags ‘Vice Chancellor of Year 2022’ Award

JAMMU, Sept 5: The Vice Chancellor of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Gurugram, Haryana, Raj Nehru a son of the soil was conferred with the “Vice Chancellor of the Year 2022″ Award by Universal Mentors Association at New Delhi during the 2nd Higher Education Innovation and Technology Summit.
On this occasion Raj Nehru said that this award is dedicated to the entire University family. The University has established itself as a reputed educational institution through vocational education and skill education. He said that the dual education model of vocational education and training would help in increasing the productivity level of both the individual and the economy. He also said that the University is working with the goal of contributing to the progress of the entire society and the nation.
Nehru said that this award can be an incentive but it is not the culmination of success. He said “I am taking this honor as a bigger challenge as research for all new skill-based courses is just in its beginning”. Sharing his industrial experience, he said that the campus of school or college education is different in a person’s life and the job campus is different after getting the degree. Most of the people in our country have been starting education and then employment in this way”.
He said Shri Vishwakarma Skill University has changed its format where such courses of 45 days, 60 days to one, two or three years have been prepared, after which the person becomes directly employable after studying and understanding the content completely.
Nehru said that there are hundreds of courses in Shri Vishwakarma Skill University. The Central Board of School Education (CBSE) has recognized the country’s first Innovation Skill Feeder School in the University. It is taught from class IX onwards according to the job available in the market or the need of the market.
The VC said that the University has included sports and value based, cultured, moral education with our courses. “We also tell the youth that they should be patient with the expectations in their life. Only then will the boat of life be crossed”, he added.
The Vice Chancellors, Registrars, Deans, Directors, Engineering Colleges and high officials of B-Schools, IITs, NITs, IIITs, IIMs from more than 100 universities were present during this second edition of Higher Education Innovation and Technology Summit.
