Corporators’ role pivotal in transforming Jammu into Smart City: Kavinder

JAMMU, Sept 6: Corporators are playing pivotal role in transforming Jammu into Smart City as every nook and corner in the city is presently witnessing face-lifting and development works to achieve the aforesaid goal as soon as possible.
This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta while launching development work here at Sector 1, Ward No 54, Trikuta Nagar on Tuesday. The BJP stalwart was accompanied by Vinay Gupta, district president and Corporator, Neeraj Lucky Puri.
Kavinder said that work on the Jammu Smart City Project is moving with lightning speed as the city is changing and upgrading with each passing day. “It is likely that the goals set by the BJP Government led by PM Narendra Modi to make Jammu and Srinagar cities as smart and people friendly would soon become a reality as the whole J&K administration along with elected representatives are on job to make this dream come true in no time”, he said, adding that the onus of making things roll precisely and in a perfect manner lies on the shoulders of Corporators and therefore they should remain active on ground to bring up the desired changes well in time.
Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta also chaired a meeting at party Headquarters in Jammu with an agenda to strengthen booths and mobilize the grass roots level workers to disseminate information about policies and plans of the BJP among the masses and associate more and more people with party to ensure easy victory in the upcoming political contests including the Assembly polls which are on cards.
District president, Vinay Gupta, Baldev Singh, Ankush Gupta, Bharat Bhushan, Lucky Puri and other party activists attended the meeting and gave valuable suggestions to make the party strong at the ground level.
