JAMMU, Sept 7: Bus Stand Police nabbed two persons with contraband.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Bus Stand led by SHO Inspector Vishal Shoor under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu during patrolling intercepted two persons, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered around 16 kilograms of poppy straw from the possession of these persons and nabbed them.
The arrested persons were identified as Manoj Kumar, son of Veeru of District Saharanpur Uttar Pradesh, at present Raowali District Jalandhar, Punjab and Sachin Kumar, son of Sikander of Village Kudana District Shamli Uttar Pradesh, at present Raowali District Jalandhar, Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 47/2022 under section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bus Stand and investigation started.
