JAMMU, Sept 7: A meeting of All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum (ADKUF) was held under the leadership of its president PL Sudeshi here, today in which the pressing issues of displaced people from Kashmir were discussed.
The meeting, which was also addressed by Advisor of the Forum Prof G L Raina and its general secretary, Prem Nath Pandita expressed dismay that the successive Governments at Centre and in J&K failed to rehabilitate the displaced Kashmiri Pandits in their homeland Kashmir and all promises made during last 33 years proved totally hollow.
It urged the Government to take effective steps in rehabilitating the displaced people leading an exiled life in accordance to their geopolitical aspirations in Kashmir Valley.
It said Governments are duty bound to safeguard life and property of its citizens it should have taken cognizance of massacre and loot on its own and given an exemplary punishment to the culprits responsible for Pandits genocide. “We have been appealing for appointing a Commission of Enquiry to identify the perpetrators of genocide of innocents and bring them to justice, accept the genocide of Pandits declare them an internally displace religious minority but all our requests have fallen on deaf ears so far that is the reason that militants and their associates were moving freely for years together”. It is amply clear that the killings and forced exile of Pandits is a Jehadi conspiracy to occupy Pandits property but unfortunately successive governments are still not realizing ground reality about killing of innocents and links it with law and order and unemployment issue which is a global problem. Forum reiterated the demand to fix the responsibility of the entire administration at the helm of affairs at that time who failed miserably to discharge their duties.
Forum also demanded removal of illegal encroachments of the left over property at war footing so that a strong signal goes to the encroachers and priority be given to rehabilitation of Pandits at a single place in Kashmir. It also demanded immediate release of ration to displaced Pandits which has been denied to them for last three months.
Phoola Koul, president Women Wing, vice president, Satish Kissu, BN Bhat, CL Zutshi, ML Koul, MK Koul, Balji Pandita and PL Razdan also spoke in the meeting.
