Jammu, Sept 8: About 25,000 to 30,000 teacher’s working under respective ZEOs in Jammu division are without salary for the month of August due to non allotment of Elementary Grant by School Education, Finance Department.
Taking a strong exception over no headway by the School Education and Finance Department in releasing the Elementary Grant, Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh district President, Jasmeet Singh Madaan said about few days back, we have brought to the notice of School Education and Director Finance, School Education but nothing has been done so far and no allotment till date has been made whereas matter of fact is that all High Schools and Higher Secondary Teacher’s have got their salary as Secondary grant was available to them.
“We strongly urge Director Finance, School Education, Iftikhar Chouhan to personally pursue the matter with Finance Department and get additionality of grant or whatever possible so that salary of these Teacher’s be released without any further delay” he said.
ABRSM also urged the Director, School Education to issue necessary order for the release of RRETs’ salary who have re-joined recently because of the CAT intervention.
