Main accused in firing case arrested with weapon

JAMMU, Sept 8: Bishnah Police arrested main accused in firing case and recovered weapon from his possession.
As per police sources, on September 3 this year, a group clash took place in Chak Avtara village on Bishnah ring road owing to some old enmity.
During clash, one party attacked opponent party with sharp edged weapons and also opened firing in which one person received injuries. The assailants managed to escape from the spot.
However, on getting information police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). Later, he was shifted to a private hospital outside J&K.
The injured was identified as Mohammad Mansha, son of Mohammad Mirza, a resident of Bathera District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 148/2022 under Sections 307, 147 and 148 IPC, 3/25 and 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and SP Headquarters Jammu Ramnish Gupta conducted series of raids and finally nabbed the main accused today, who was identified as Akshay, son of Banarsi Dass, a resident of Gaghore Tehsil Vijaypur District Samba.
Earlier, three persons were arrested with weapons. Two vehicles used in the commission of the crime were also seized.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
