Army Comdr visits Rajouri

JAMMU, Sept 8: Northern Command chief Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi today reviewed the security situation during his visit to Rajouri district.
The official Twitter handle of the Northern Command said, “Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi, #Army Cdr Northern Command visited #Rajouri sector where he reviewed the operational preparedness and interacted with all ranks.”
He expressed confidence over the operational readiness & strong Anti-Infiltration Grid adopted by troops, it read. Notably, Army troops last month in Nowshera sector successfully foiled three infiltration bids in less than 48 hours and neutralised two militants.
The troops also captured one Pakistani intruder alive who was injured in firing during infiltration and he died of cardiac arrest at Military Hospital Rajouri. His body was later handed over to the PoJK authorities via Chakkan-da-Bagh in Poonch.
