One killed, 2 injured in separate road accidents

SAMBA, Sept 10: One person died while two others were injured in two separate road accidents in Samba today. The first accident took place when a 75-year-old Bhui Lal, son of Guda Lal resident Mawa was coming on his scooty to Samba after suddenly the scooty fell on the road and he was seriously injured. With the help of local people, he was shifted to the District Hospital Samba from where he was referred to the Medical College and Hospital Jammu for better treatment after first aid.
Another accident took place near Maheshwar in Samba on Jammu -Pathankot National Highway, in which one person died while another person was seriously injured. The accident took place when a car collided with the rear side of the truck, after which both the people in the car were seriously injured. In injured condition the local people brought them to the District Hospital Samba where the doctor declared one person as brought dead while the other after first aid was referred to the Medical College and Hospital Jammu for better treatment. The deceased has been identified as 52-year-old Arun Bakshi, son of Krishan Das resident of Ward No. 3 Hiranagar district Kathua and the injured person has been identified as Banarasi Das, son of Acchar Das resident of Chak Manga Rakwal Samba.
Police has taken the cognizance of the same and registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
