RAMBAN, Sept 10: Ramban, Chanderkote, Jawahar Tunnel and Ramsoo Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per police sources, teams from Police Station Ramban, Police Station Chanderkote, Police Post Jawahar Tunnel and Police Station Ramsoo intercepted 8 vehicles which were on their way from Jammu towards Srinagar.
During checking, police team rescued 68 bovine animals and seized all the 8 vehicles.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Police Stations Ramban, Chanderkote, Banihal and Ramsoo and investigation started.
Police teams led by SHO Ramban Inspector Sandeep Charak and assisted by PSI Simran Pal Singh, SHO Chanderkote Inspector Padam Dev Singh, Incharge Police Post Jawahar Tunnel PSI Harish Kumar and SHO Ramsoo Inspector Nayeem Ul Haq foiled the smuggling of bovines under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen, SDPO Banihal Nissar Ahmed Khoja and SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
