Clean Jammu drive

Sir,
For the last few days there appears have been some improvement in the cleanliness drive by the Jammu Municipal Committee and provision for holding public darbar is also there as per reports in the local media. The backlog of the work is much and understandably may take a few days more to come up to the manageable levels but the focus still appears to be only on selected areas which needs to be broadened and more areas may be added both for regular cleanliness and to the list of Public Darbar so that the JMC authorities come to know about the problems faced by the people on account of strewn garbage, used polythene bags, choked drains and non availability of dust bins in the respective areas. Stray cattle roaming the city roads and lanes and dirtying them too needs to be dealt with.
JMC would earn peoples’ goodwill if along with other organizations, the Jammu Railway Station is relieved of heaps of garbage, dirt, littered used eatery items etc; right from the outer gate upto the luggage checking point. This most unclean and shabbily looking station tells a lot to the visiting tourists coming here in lacs.
Your etc….
