JAMMU, Sept 11: J&K Sheep & Wool workers today constituted a UT level body in its meeting held today at office complex of Directorate of Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu.
The meeting organized under the aegis of All J&K Sheep & Wool Workers’ Association, was held under the chairmanship of Babu Hussain Malik (President, J&K Employees Joint Action Committee) and I L Bhatti (Administrative Section Officer, Directorate of Sheep Husbandry Jammu), and under the control of Dr Ajay Sudan (Deputy Director Central SHD Jammu), who was nominated as Observer by Director Sheep Husbandry Jammu.
Delegates from various Departmental organizations of the UT attended the meeting. Some of the ex-presidents of All J&K Sheep & Wool Workers’ Association were also invited to grace the occasion as special guests.
Mohd Rafiq Malik was elected as president of the UT level body while Abdul Razak Shah was elected as general secretary. Sunil Sharma was elected as vice president for Jammu division and Muzaffer Ahmed Ganaie for Kashmir division. Muzafer Nabi and Abdul Rashid were elected as UT chief spokespersons, Mohd Aarif and Javed Ahmed Bhat as secretaries, Abdul Rashid Sheikh and Vishal Sharma as joint secretaries, Vijay Kumar and Bilal Ahamd Sheikh as additional spokespersons, Famida Bano and Mohd Ashraf Bhat as public secretaries while Dewan Raj and Peerzada Gowher were elected as cashiers.
Punjab Singh and Ali Mohd Kumar were elected as chief organizers whereas Vinod Kumar, Shabir Ahmed Bhat, Dheeraj Sharma, Tariq Ahmed Bhat, Meenakshi Ahmadullah Mir, Surinder Singh, Dr Rakesh Kumar, Ishfaq Ahamd and Mohd Ashraf Wani were elected as organizers. Swati Sharma and Mohd Rafiq Dar were elected as social media incharges while Itoo Manzoor, Kartar Singh, Ali Mohd Sheikh, Avinash Sharma, Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh, Suman Singh, Bilal Ahmad Lone, Raj Singh, Mushtaq Ahmad Dalal and Sanjeev Singh were elected as executive members.
Further, an Advisory Council was also framed with Iftakhar Layaqit Bhatti as its convener (chairman, Jammu), Gulzar Ahmed Rather as chief advisor (chairman, Kashmir) and Nazir Mir, KK Singh, Mohd Aslam Bhat and Mohd Iqbal as advisors. All 20 district presidents were elected as its members.
