SRINAGAR, Oct 1: Chief Secretary, Iqbal Khandey today chaired the periodic meeting of the Committee of Secretaries to review the status of various administrative matters and functioning of departments.
Besides reviewing the status of RFD, SMS based Monitoring, Catch up and Recruitment Rules and other matters, the Chief Secretary stressed upon the Secretaries to conduct tours throughout the State to inspect by themselves the functioning of their respective departments in the field. He said regular, on the spot field visits by the Secretaries will certainly improve the overall functioning of the departments including public service delivery.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary also received brief from the Secretaries on the working in Secretariat, Divisional, District and other offices across the State. He was informed that all offices across the State have reported normal attendance today and business as usual.
Chief Secretary reiterated that the circular instructions issued in this regard by the Government must be religiously adhered to and status report submitted to him on a daily basis.
