ADKUF discusses problems of displaced Pandits

JAMMU, Sept 12: A meeting of All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum (ADKUF) was held here, today under the leadership of its president, PL Sudeshi in which the problems of displaced people from Kashmir were discussed in detail.
The meeting was among others addressed by Chief Advisor of the Forum, Prof G L Koul and its general secretary, Prem Nath Raina who expressed serious concern over the failure of Government in not issuing the ration to relief holders for last three months and termed it a grave injustice with the hapless people who are totally dependent on Government support.
It also showed grave concern over stoic silence maintained by the Government on the general demand of the community regarding enhancement of cash relief which has been put under carpet by present Government despite the fact that the prices are skyrocketing day by day.
The meeting said it is unfortunate that the Government has not adopted any policy in last 32 years on the rehabilitation of displaced Pandits in Valley and demanded that without losing any time the Government should settle entire community at a single place in Kashmir which is their motherland.
The Forum resolved to observe the coming death anniversary of its chairman, D N Kissu as a unity day and it appealed the all organizations of the community to come on a single platform. On the occasion M N Gadroo, P K Raina, M K Tiku, Satish Raina, Kaka Ji Tiku, Dilip Kumar Koul, Ajay Dhar and S L Bhat all active social activists assured full support to Forum in its struggle.
Others who addressed the meeting included Satish Kissu vice chairman, C L Zuthsi, B N Bhat, M L Koul and P L Razdhan.
