JAMMU, Sept 12: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Shama Akhtar of Ward no. 71 here today started road blacktopping work in Asrarabad, Nikki Mohalla, Kidzee Lane and some other roads in Sidhra area.
Condition of the roads in the Ward was very bad and vehicles as well as pedestrians were facing problems while moving through these roads.
The affected people met JMC Councillor, Shama Akhtar with the issue and she in turn took the issue with JMC authorities and got the work sanctioned which was started today.
Speaking on the occasion Shama said that after completion of blacktopping of roads the people of the area will heave a sigh of relief.
Executive Engineer of JMC, Arun Gupta; AEE, Swarn Singh; JE, Shaber Ahmed; Contractor, Jasbir Singh and others including residents of the area were also present on the occasion.
