SKUAST-J signs MoU with IPB University Indonesia

JAMMU, Sept 15: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IPB University, Bogor, West Java, Indonesia.
The MoU was signed virtually between Vice Chancellor (VC) of SKUAST-Jammu, Prof J P Sharma and Rector, Prof Arif Satria on behalf of IPB University. The IPB University is a Public Higher Education Institution established in 1963. The MoU has been conducted with the objective to fostering academic and the development of education programs between two universities.
Both the institutes agreed to develop the various collaborative activities in academic, scientific and development programs of mutual interest. It is also agreed to accept each other’s undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students into their degree programmes for the duration of one academic year or semester. The MoU shall promote the academics and scientific research, trainings, internships, etc of common interests for both the institutes.
Dr Pardeep Wali, Director Research; Dr S K Gupta, Registrar; Dr Jyoti Kachroo, Director Planning and Monitoring and Dr Bharat Bhushan, Joint Registrar, Academics were associated in conducting the MoU.
Meanwhile, Prof JP Sharma reviewed the various project proposal formulated by the various Technical Working Groups constituted to frame the comprehensive Agriculture Policy in UT of J&K. The project proposals are to be submitted to the apex committee constituted for holistic development of agriculture and allied sectors of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
During the review meeting, members of different technical working groups made power point presentation on various project proposals. The meeting was attended by Dr Pardeep Wali, Dr S K Gupta, Dr Rakesh Nanda (Director Education), Dr S K Gupta (Registrar), statutory officers, Scientists from SKUAST-J and SKUAST-K, members of the technical committees constituted for the purpose and officers from Line departments.
