JAMMU, Oct 2: In a LPA filed by 16 multipurpose workers of Rural Development Department against the judgment of Writ Court, a Special Division Bench of the High Court restrained respondents from regularizing Adhoc Inspector Panchayats.
After hearing Senior Advocate SS Lehar with Advocate Meharban Singh appearing for the appellant whereas Advocates SK Shukla and Anil Verma for the respondents, DB comprising Justice Hasnain Massodi and Justice B L Bhat issued notice to the respondents and ordered that in the meantime, adhoc appointments to the post of Inspector Panchayats, if any, made after the judgment of Writ Court, shall not be regularized and posts of Inspector Panchayat whatever left unfilled till date shall not be filled up till next date of hearing.
