JAMMU, June 12: Chief General Manager (CGM), State Bank of India, Chandigarh Circle, NK Chari, today visited the SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Bantalab, along with Deputy General Manager, J&K Module, Ashok Kumar Gupta.
Chari interacted with the students of Beauty Parlour Management Course and motivated them to adopt self employment. He further said that SBI RSETI extends full support and handhold them for further two years. He said that every successful entrepreneur must spread the message of adopting self employment to other unemployed youth and advised the unemployed youth to avail the benefit of skill development trainings from SBI RSETI.
He also interacted with some Ex-Alumni of Institution who had adopted self employment by setting up their ventures and presented mementoes to them.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Kumar Gupta said that SBI RSETI, which is aimed at making rural youth self employed, with free food and accommodation besides skill development, has become a credible name in the field of self employment.
Director of the institution, KK Sharma maintained that many programmes will be covered in the institution depending on local requirement. He said that SBI RSETI, which is aimed at skill building of rural youth is unique as it not only provides short term self employment training programmes but also helps entrepreneurs for credit linkage with financial institutions of their areas after completion of their course.
On the occasion, Chari also planted a tree in the premises of the Institution. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Regional Manager, SBI Region-II, Jammu, PK Abrol.
