DODA, Sept 19: Police arrested a notorious bike lifter and recovered six stolen vehicles from his possession.
As per police sources, from last one month, Doda Police received complaints regarding bikes theft and accordingly a team of Police Station Doda was swung into action that collected vital clues through technical as well as human intelligence and finally managed to apprehend the said accused from Bhaderwah area and cracked the case of bikes theft.
The accused has been identified as Shadab Mir, son of Abdul Qayoom Mir, a resident of Dandi Bhaderwah District Doda. He was arrested in case registered under FIR Number 209/22 under section 379 IPC.
During further investigation, it was learnt that the accused used to steal motor bikes during wee hours in morning and used his Innova car for transportation of the same.
On the basis of his disclosure, police teams have so far managed to recover 6 motor bikes worth lakhs of rupees.
It is also pertinent to mention here that accused is highly qualified (B.Tech Mechanical) and shopkeeper by profession.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
