Two die in separate incidents

KATHUA, Sept 19: One person was burnt alive and another killed in two separate road accidents in Kathua district today.
One person was burnt alive after a truck caught fire during late last night at Rajbagh on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway. As per police reports truck bearing Registration Number, HR69D 2304 was on way towards Jammu from Punjab suddenly caught fire on Highway and collided with another parked truck on Jammu -Pathankot National Highway under the jurisdiction of Rajbagh Police Station. The truck driver jumped out of the vehicle to save his life but his associate the ill fated conductor of the vehicle was trapped inside the truck and was burnt alive on the spot. The flames engulfed the vehicle and a fire tender was called on to control the blaze. To save other vehicles on the road the tube of Highway was closed till the burnt truck was removed from Highway.
The Rajbagh Police has registered a case and started investigation into the matter.
In another road accident one person died when his car rolled down into deep gorge on Basholi road. As per reports a car bearing Registration Number, JK08H9552 rolled down into deep gorge at Pargna Morh, Basholi when driver lost the control of car.
The deceased car driver was identified as Akash Kumar, son of Hari Krishan of Mandla ,Basholi. He died on the spot. His body was shifted to SDH Basholi for postmortem and police has registered a case in this connection.
