JAMMU, Oct 3: Dean Academic Affairs (DAA), University of Jammu (JU), Prof Neelam Saraf, launched music of upcoming Hindi feature film ‘Damini, the victim’ here this evening.
The music launched function was held at Gallon Builders India Private Limited on Jammu –Srinagar National Highway near Chowhadi Morh, where in cast and crew of the movie was especially present.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Saraf appreciated the effort of youth involved in the project. She congratulated the team and wished them best of luck for success of the film.
The story of the movie was inspired by real life event, the Delhi rape case that happened in December last year for which the whole country stood united and demanded strong laws to deal with such cases besides harsh punishment for the culprits.
Shooting of the movie was exclusively done in Jammu city in which various breathtaking views of this city of temples.
The Signing, Music and Lyrics Department was headed by Shubdeep Singh in collaboration with Ashu Kumar, Vineet Singh and Jaganjot Singh.
The movie also filmed a special appearance of famous Bollywood Actor, Raghubir Yadav. The film was directed by Shahid Kazmi and produced by Parvinder Pal Singh ‘Lucky J’ and 999 productions.
The film set to release in the middle of October in J&K and thereafter other states of Northern India including Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi etc.
