JAMMU, Oct 3: BJP National Executive member, Dr Nirmal Singh today alleged that certain anti-national forces have started harassing and implicating innocent youth to create a Kashmir like situation in Kishtwar district by causing religious cleansing,”.
Talking to reporters along with senior Party leader Prof Hari Om, Party’s Prabhari for Kishtwar district Munish Sharma and mother and sister of Ajay a 16 year old youth who has been tortured by Special Task Force (STF) in Kishtwar recently Dr Singh demanded action against the undesirable people both in civil administration and police.
He said if action is delayed this could lead to further tension in the area and the same will not be in the interests of the people of the State. He said that the DIG, DySP and certain members of the SIT were responsible for all the disturbing developments in Kishtwar and the situation in the affected area would improve only if these biased officers are transferred.
He said that the manner in which certain members of the SIT and Kishtwar police tortured Ajay Kumar for seven days for no reason whatsoever suggest official bias towards the minority community, which has been boldly witnessing militant onslaughts since 1990 and defeating the anti-India forces. He disclosed that not just minor Ajay Kumar, but many others like him are being targeted and forced to either accept that they were responsible for the Kishtwar violence or they should name others belonging to the minority community so that they are booked.
He contested the claim of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah that Kishtwar violence was the outcome of an international conspiracy and said that it was none other than his own colleagues Taj Mohi-ud-Din who during the all parties meeting in Kishtwar said that “what happened in Kishtwar was the brain child of anti -national forces committed to separating Kishtwar district from Jammu and integrate it into Kashmir so that Greater Kashmir is formed”.
