KISHTWAR, Oct 3: Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS) has given a call for tomorrow’s Kishtwar bandh in protest against the torturing of juvenile by Special Investigation Team (SIT) in police custody recently.
The SDS Kishtwar, president, H R Botyal has appealed the people to observe a total bandh tomorrow in protest against the torturing of the juvenile by the SIT in Kishtwar whose condition is serious and is undergoing treatment at GMC Jammu.
He accused the police of harassing innocent youth of minority community on the name of investigation for August 9 violence. In case police has to probe the incident it should go through a proper procedure and not torture innocent youth of the area as this has generated a further resentment among the minorities in Kishtwar. Instead of settling the problems and admitting its inability to provide security to minorities whose shops and other business establishments were razed to ground on August 9 by frenzy mob, the administration is still terrorizing the members of minority community by torturing the innocent juveniles. This way the situation will further aggravate, he added.
