JAMMU, Oct 3: Various management committees of shrines and temples in Kashmir Valley today appealed the Government to ensure the passage of the much talked about Kashmiri Hindu shrines and Religious Places Bill in the ongoing session of State Assembly without any dilution.
Talking to media persons here, today at a press conference organised by All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) they warned that if any temple or shrine was kept away from the purview of the Bill they will also not allow the inclusion of their shrines and temples in it.
The spokesman of the APMCC King Bharti said that the management Committees have resolved that no dilution in the Bill will be acceptable. He reminded that APMCC will launch Kaffan yatra if the Bill is diluted.
The APMCC however suggested some amendments for the Bill which includes Constitution of Temple Board, from the village temple management Committee level, treating the exiting temple management bodies as the first management body for the each temple, and uniform development of all temples in the valley.
The management Committee members also demanded that Government should take them into confidence before incorporating amendments in the Bill.
